Family Fun magazine to the rescue again! The kids and their friends are holding a project called "Grass-Head Guys". Using empty yogurt containers as a base, you fill the toe of old pantyhose with a spoonful of grass seed and then about a cup of potting soil. Tie a knot in the end and leave about a two-in. tail that sits down in the yogurt cup. You put googly eyes and permanent marker face on your guy and fill the cup with water. Set in a sunny window, keep moist, and you'll have "hair" sprout in about 3-4 days.
Look at that lovely spring weather! Yes, it really was spring break! That's Sharra, Ginny, Clarissa, and Eliza sliding down the slide in snowsuits and boots.
Sam and Ginny swing away happily despite the snowflakes falling all around. Even being stuck inside all week, it was great to have my kiddos home!
